iiNet Photographasaurus competition
Terms & conditions
1. Instructions and information on how to enter form part of these Conditions of Entry. Participation in the iiNet Photographasaurus competition constitutes acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents only. Employees of iiNet (the 'Promoter') and agencies associated with this promotion, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
3. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to accept any entry which, in their opinion, is inappropriate or does not comply with the rules and regulations of the competition. The Promoter has an absolute discretion to disqualify any entry, or vary, amend or waive the rules of the competition or terminate the competition at any time and participants agree that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof and that the exercise of such discretion shall not result in any compensation being payable or paid to any participant. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules.
4. The promotion commences on 01/08/2011 and concludes at 5:00pm AWST 21/08/2011 ('Promotion Period').
5. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, entrants must share a photo or screenshot taken with one of the iiNet virtual dinosaurs. The National Science Week website (http://www.scienceweek.gov.au) will include information so users will know where to find augmented dinosaurs in each participating location. Users must then use the Layar application and iiNet's Jurassic layer's in-built functionality. To take a photo, hit the action button from within the layer and take a screenshot. Tap on the camera icon to take your photo. In the preview, select use. Next, send by email to Jurassic@iinet.net.au. Or, if user is logged in to a Layar account, they can also hit share. Next, select share with iiNet, type their email address in the message box before tapping share to send an entry through. Users may submit multiple entries. iiNet may share shortlisted entries through their iiNet Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/iiNet.
6. All entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period. No responsibility accepted for late, lost, misdirected or illegible entries.
7. There will be one major prize awarded to an overall National winner. Judging will take place at 10:00am AWST 24/08/2011 at Level 1, 502 Hay St, Subiaco, WA, 6008. The winner will be notified via email and telephone.
8. MAJORPRIZE: 1 Year free access to one of iiNet's ADSL Broadband, Naked DSL or Dial-up internet services (up to a maximum retail value of $99.95 per month) ("1 year free internet"). Total maximum value of major prize is AUD$1199.40.
9. All entries received during the Promotional Period will be judged by a panel chosen by the Promoter. Shortlisted entries will be eligible to win the overall National prize. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. If a prize, or element of a prize, is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another prize of equal or greater value for that prize, or element of it, subject to the approval of any relevant authority.
10. If the winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner's nominated parent or guardian.
11. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from winning of the prizes. Independent financial advice should be sought.
12. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this competition. If the competition is not capable of being conducted due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's control, including due to any technical or communications problems, the Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition subject to approval from any relevant authority.
13. The Promoter and its agencies and companies associated with this promotion will not be liable for any loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained (including without limitation to that caused by any person's negligence) relating to this competition or the awarding or taking or using a prize of the prizes except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case liability is limited to the minimum amount allowable by law).
14. The Promoter may use any photos or personal information entrants provide in connection with this competition for the purpose of running the competition and other promotional purposes the Promoter chooses. The Promoter may disclose the information for those purposes to its related bodies corporate and contractors. If entrants do not provide the information requested, they will not be able to enter the competition. The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act (Cth) 1988. A copy of the Promoter's privacy policy can be viewed at www.iinet.net.au. To request access to, or to update, personal information the Promoter holds about them, entrants can contact the office of the Promoter.
15. By entering this competition the entrant agrees that all information collected by the Promoter is voluntarily provided to the Promoter by the entrant. The Promoter may use both the personal and aggregated information that it collects for various purposes it deems necessary including but not limited to marketing and promotional purposes. The Promoter may disclose personal information, when it believes in good faith that such disclosure is legally required, to protect its rights or the safety of others. The Promoter accepts no responsibility and is not liable for any loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained (including without limitation to that caused by any person's negligence) relating to using or providing this information to third parties except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case liability is limited to the minimum amount allowable by law).
